Autism Speaks in collaboration with UCLA Center for
Autism Research & Treatment (CART) and Extraordinary Ventures is hosting Advancing the Role and Impact of Small Businesses
in Employing Adults with Autism -- a town hall meeting on small business employment
opportunities for individuals on the autism spectrum. Local entrepreneurs and
small businesses in these communities play a vital role in developing training and employment opportunities for teens and young adults looking to enter the
workforce.
The town hall will provide a forum to exchange information
for the development of programs to address this employment gap and create job
opportunities for individuals with autism. We look forward to joining people with ASD, family members, employment service providers and small business owners for an engaging discussion. For more information and to RSVP, email adultservices@autismspeaks.org.
