
Signups are now underway for the Yarrow Family YMCA summer day camp with some camps taking place at the new YMCA facility in Westlake Village. Camps run from June 17 through August 16.
Voyager Camp (kindergarten through second grade) will be held at the Y’s afterschool facility at Sumac Elementary School in Agoura Hills. Adventure Camp (second through fifth grade) will be held at Willow Elementary, also in Agoura Hills.
Teen Pathfinders Camp, for sixth through eighth graders will take place at the new Yarrow Family YMCA in Westlake Village (scheduled to officially open in spring). Also at the new Y will be EXPO Specialty Day Camp for kindergarteners through fifth graders (running from June 24 through August 16). Besides participating in regular camp activities, campers will spend approximately two hours each day in a specialized activity.

Camp Oakes, an overnight camping experience will take place July 6 through 13 in Big Bear California (fourth through 12 grade). Leaders-in-Training programs are available for teens in 10th grade and 11th grade. Counselor-in-training programs are available for 12th grade.
Camp activities are based on age group and include swimming, games, field trips and exploring and appreciating the outdoors. Camp hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Extended care starts at 6:30 a.m. and ends at 6:30 p.m. at no extra cost. Parents can sign up their kids by the week, full time (five days a week) or part time (three days).

“YMCA camp is a great way to keep kids active and outdoors during the summer,” says Megan Tisler, Yarrow YMCA senior director of youth development. “As part of every YMCA camp, we also encourage personal growth development, self-respect and character building.”
