2 Bay Area Lottery Tickets Each Worth $287,200

BAY AREA — Two tickets for Tuesday night's MegaMillions lottery drawing matched five numbers but missed the mega ball. For matching the first five numbers drawn, each ticket is worth $287,200.

The tickets were sold in Oakland and San Jose.

The tickets were sold at M & A Lakeside Market at 136 14th St. in Oakland and a Shell gas station at 1091 East Capitol Expressway in San Jose.

No one matched the mega number in the multi-state lotto so the jackpot will grow to an estimated $720 million for Friday night's drawing.

The other multi-state game, Powerball, has an estimated jackpot of $1 billion for Wednesday night's drawing. No one in California matched five numbers in Monday's drawing, missing out on the $1,887,787 runner-up prize. Wednesday night's drawing will be at 7:59 p.m.

California's SuperLotto Plus currently has a grand prize of $77 million. The next drawing is also Wednesday night.
