75th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor Attack Marked in Alameda
Among those who marked the anniversary on Coast Guard Island was Retired Chief Petty Officer George Larsen, Pearl Harbor Survivor.

ALAMEDA, CA — The Coast Guard held a remembrance ceremony Wednesday at Coast Guard Island to mark the 75th anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor.
Among those in attendance: a Pearl Harbor survivor. Retired Chief Petty Officer George Larsen served in the Coast Guard as a radioman from 1939 through 1945

Rear Adm. Todd Sokalzuk, Eleventh Coast Guard District commander, spoke at the ceremony prior to the laying of a wreath, the playing of Taps, and a 21-gun salute in honor of those lost during the attack.
