ACLC Science Fair Winners Move Up to County Level

20th-Annual ACLC Science Fair results in 36 first-place winners heading to the Alameda County Science and Engineering Fair in March.

Alameda, CA – January 20, 2016 — First-place winners in the 20th-annual Alameda Community Learning Center (ACLC) Science Fair receive instruction on entry rules for the 2016 Alameda County Science and Engineering Fair (ACSEF) by Founding Director, Patti Carothers. Thirty-six projects from ACLC learners in grades 6-12 will move up to the county level Science Fair held at the Alameda County fairgrounds in Pleasanton CA, March 11-13, 2016, competing in fields including physics, chemistry, engineering, environmental science, psychology and life sciences.

ACLC is a tuition-free public charter middle and high school located at 1900 Third Street in Alameda, CA. It emphasizes a project-based learning approach and is founded on a democratic model that empowers learners.
