Alameda-Contra Costa Transit To Launch New Bus Line Monday
AC Transit will offer a new bus route as a pilot program between Fruitvale and Alameda.
ALAMEDA, CA — Alameda-Contra Costa Transit on Monday is launching a new bus route as a pilot program to connect the Fruitvale BART station in Oakland to the USS Hornet and Seaplane Lagoon Ferry Terminal in Alameda.
The line is meant to time with the ferry during commute hours on weekdays, including connecting with the first boat heading from Alameda to San Francisco at 6:30 a.m., as well as the last boat coming back to Alameda at 10:40 p.m.

The new route comes as AC Transit is also expanding its service schedule systemwide starting Sunday in anticipation of the start of a new school year in the East Bay.
