Alameda Education Foundation Middle School Basketball Championships This Week
Academy, Lincoln and Wood represented in final showdown

The Academy of Alameda’s Boys A and B teams will face challengers Wood and Lincoln in the A (Varsity) and B (Jr. Varsity) divisions Tuesday at the Alameda Education Foundation's Middle School Sports basketball championships.
On Wednesday, the always solid Lincoln girls face challenges from Wood in the A division and the Academy in the B division. Wood narrowly beat the Academy in last week’s playoffs with three 3-pointers in the final seconds to secure the trip to the championships. In the B division, the Academy held on for a win in spite of a strong finish by the Wood Beavers.
The Boys Championship games are on Tuesday with the B (Jr. Varsity) action beginning at 3:45 followed by the A (Varsity) game at approximately 4:45. Girls action is Wednesday at the same times. Games will be in the gym at the Alameda Boys and Girls Club. All are invited to come and enjoy these exciting games. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children. AEF also runs co-ed volleyball in the fall and track & field in the spring. More information may be found on the AEF website.
