Alameda Woman Appointed as Alameda County Superior Court Judge
Lupe C. Garcia fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Cecilia P. Castellanos.
Alameda, CA— Alameda resident Lupe C. Garcia was appointed by Governor Edmund G. Brown to a judgeship in the Alameda County Superior Court on Tuesday.
Garcia, 48, of Alameda, worked as associate general counsel and senior director for global integrity at Gap Inc. since 1999. According to a statement released by Bron's office. Garcia, who has registered without party affiliation, fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Cecilia P. Castellanos.
Garcia attended the University of San Francisco School of Law and Occidental College.
