OAKLAND, CA — Police in Oakland are investigating shootings that occurred this weekend and claimed two lives, the department said Sunday.
At about 8:15 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to the 6400 block of Foothill Boulevard after receiving multiple ShotSpotter activations that sensed gunfire.
Two men were found at the site suffering from gunshot wounds and both were taken to the hospital, where one died. The second man was in critical condition, according to police.
A third woman was discovered dead from a gunshot wound in the 2800 block of 64th Avenue.
Detectives are investigating and there is no further information available at this time, according to police.
