At about 10:15 a.m., officers were sent to the 7400 block of International Boulevard to investigate reports of a vehicle fire, police officials said.
When they got to the scene, someone directed officers to the suspect, who then allegedly attacked an officer who was attempting to make an arrest.
The officer suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment, where they were initially listed in stable condition and then released, police said.
