OAKLAND, CA — Police are asking for the public's help finding a man suspected of attacking someone during a burglary at a residence in Oakland last month.
Police say the suspect entered the home in the 1900 block of Harrington Avenue just before 9 a.m. on July 20, beat the victim and left with several items
The victim told officers the suspect looked to be about 6 feet tall and 20 to 30 years old with yellow eyes, facial acne or razor bumps and a beard, police said.
He was last seen wearing a black Nike hoodie with black Nike lettering, black Air Force 1 sneakers, police said, adding that he reportedly had a strong odor of alcohol and cigarettes.
It's unclear if the victim and the suspect knew each other before the incident. Police said the suspect was last seen running into Cesar Chavez Park at 1835 38th Avenue, an area which he is known to frequent.
Authorities ask that anyone with more information contact the Oakland Police Department at 510-238-3641 or call 911.
