OAKLAND, CA — Police are investigating a crash involving an Amtrak train that left a man dead in Oakland on Tuesday morning, according to an East Bay Times report.
Few details about the crash were immediately available, but initial reports suggest the man was pushing his stalled car across the tracks around 6:25 a.m. in the 800 block of 37th Avenue when he was struck by the train, according to the East Bay Times.
The man died at the scene, according to the report. His identity was not immediately released.
