Officers arrived at the scene and continued hearing gunshots coming from the back of a home, the Oakland Police Department said.

A standoff ensued between police and the suspect, police said. Police did not say exactly how long the standoff lasted.

But eventually, officers arrested one person in connection with the incident, police said, adding that no injuries were reported.

Officers served a warrant at the home and found a shotgun, a handgun with an extended magazine and brass knuckles, police said.

"This incident demonstrates the dedication of our officers, who were attentive, responded quickly, and resolved a potentially dangerous situation safely," police said. "We will continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of our community."
