ALAMEDA, CA — They're baaaaaaack!
The Alameda Police Department has released this year's Pink Patch, meant to raise funds for HERS Breast Cancer Foundation in Fremont.
It's also part of the Pink Patch Project, a public awareness and fundraising campaign with law enforcement and other public agencies that supports the fight against breast cancer, police said.
Each police patch is $10 and features a pink ribbon with the words "Alameda Police."
"Patches will be available throughout October, but if last year is any indication, they won't last long because our 2025 patches sold out fast!" the department said in a statement on Tuesday. "Really fast."
Patches are available for purchase at the Alameda Police Department's front counter. The department said it is only accepting cash for the patches.
Alameda police officers will also be giving out Pink Patch stickers throughout the month, while supplies last, authorities said.
"If you see an officer, ask, and you may just be able to grab one before they are gone," police said.
