Armed Robber Who Followed Victims Home Arrested: Police

Investigators spent 3 weeks identifying the suspect, tracking them down and coordinating an arrest with US Marshals and the sheriff's office

ALAMEDA, CA — An armed robber followed their victims home to Smith Court in Alameda on Sept. 30. The Alameda Police Department reports that a suspect in that case was arrested on Monday in Oakland.

According to police, the robbery was reported at 1:15 p.m. on Sept. 30. Through extensive investigative efforts, a suspect was identified.

The police department worked with the US Marshals Service and the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office to obtain search and arrest warrants. Those were served on Monday in Oakland.

According to police, the suspect surrendered peacefully and the search resulted in the recovery of multiple guns.
