DYING F3TUS established a reputation for uncompromising integrity with a slew of classic albums and today rides a resurgence of respect and esteem with a new generation. As Revolver Magazine wrote upon the release of their first new material since 2017’s Wrong One To F*ck With: “Their unique sound has always straddled the line between extreme metal instrumentation and heavy hardcore chugginess, and right now, they’re extremely well-regarded by many of today’s heavy-hitting hardcore acts, as well as their fair share of death metal and deathcore up-and-comers.”Sanguisugabogg
Shat out of hell, indeed. That’s the sonic stench that permeates the epically unpronounceable, utterly indecipherable and altogether uncompromising sound of Ohio’s notorious gore-merchants, SANGUISUGABOGG. Homicidal Ecstasy, the ‘Bogg’s second Century Media platter of splatter isn’t merely a return to the “down-tuned drug death” that defined 2021’s Tortured Whole. It’s the fluid-streaked byproduct of a band that hit the road like crazed serial killers and never looked back as they plunged deeper into a celebration of Mortician-worshiping brutal death metal sounds and splatter classics like Dead-Alive. They also became a badass live and studio proposition in the process.View Tickets & More Info

Slow Flow to Yin Every Wednesday at 6:45 PM $25 drop-in rate

www.svasthayogahub.com
This class offers a harmonious blend of slow, deliberate movement and deep, sustained stretches, creating a peaceful yet dynamic practice.
The class starts with a slow flow that gradually transitions to yin yoga where each pose is held for 2-3 minutes, allowing for a deep release of tension in the body’s connective tissues such as ligaments, tendons, and fascia.
The slow pace of the transitions, combined with the long-held poses, creates a space for introspection and relaxation, making it ideal for releasing both physical and emotional tension.
The focus is on cultivating a mindful connection to the breath and sensations in the body, allowing practitioners to deepen their awareness with each movement and breath and to resent their nervous system.
Very effective stress-buster to ground yourself during the holiday season.
All levels welcome - Beginner Friendly

Lisa Mezzacappa 5(ish) Aaron Bennett – tenor sax Mark Clifford – vibraphone Brett Carson – piano Jordan Glenn – drums Lisa Mezzacappa – bass
Berkeley bassist and composer Lisa Mezzacappa brings the latest incarnation of her working band to The Back Room for a raucous and rollicking suite of original music.
Her 5(ish) ensemble plays selections from its 2026 release othrwrldly, which explores the concept of worldbuilding—inspired by Mezzacappa’s fascination with the speculative fiction of Ursula Le Guin, Haruki Murakami, Samuel R. Delany and David Mitchell— as a way to envision new kinds of musical interaction, storytelling, structure and play.
othrwrldly showcases her band’s spectacular chemistry and keen improvisational prowess, woven into expansive compositions that foreground energy, sound, interaction and surprise. The band includes longtime collaborators tenor saxophonist Aaron Bennett (Adam Lane’s Full Throttle Orchestra), vibraphonist Mark Clifford (Meerna, Rent Romus), and drummer Jordan Glenn (Fred Frith Trio, Zeena Parkins), plus recent addition pianist Brett Carson (Art Ensemble of Chicago, Roscoe Mitchell).
The Holly Martins Lorin Benedict, voice Kasey Knidsen, alto saxophone Eric Vogler, guitar
Named after the main character in the classic postwar film, The Third Man, The Holly Martins is a trio of Bay Area musicians dedicated to exploring the boundaries of jazz-infused improvised music, but without the trappings of a traditional "rhythm section.”
This configuration requires each individual to simultaneously take on multiple roles typically assigned individual players (soloist versus accompanist), thereby promoting more open-ended explorations of the material. As to said material, The Holly Martins often construct mutations of normal jazz standards, transformed from their more familiar forms in the time domain. Likewise, their original compositions are often "jazz-like," but with twists and turns such as asymmetric harmonic rhythms, and cycling rhythmic and pitch patterns.
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Children under 12 are free. Advance tickets are available here, or if the show is not sold out, you may purchase your tickets at the door before the show.
Doors open 30 minutes before show time. We accept cash or Venmo only at the door.
