Can you Hear Me Now?

Hearing as we Age

The public is invited to listen to Dr. Garr Crookston speak on “ Hearing as we age” at the Alameda Free Library on Wednesday, February 18th at 1 pm. This talk is presented by Elders Village, a local non-profit with the mission of providing education for and about seniors.

cleardot.gifEveryone’s hearing changes with age, but what is normal? Learn which kinds of diseases and conditions can result in hearing loss, why certain sounds are harder to hear, and how you can help preserve your hearing.

Guest speaker Dr. Garr Crookston opened Hearing Zone in 1976, and has been a principal in the field of audiology for more than 35 years. With both a Masters and Doctorate in Audiology, Dr. Crookston has served on several state Speech Pathology and Audiology Boards and as President of the USU Speech and Hearing Association.

The talk will be held at the Alameda Free Library located at 1550 Oak Street in Alameda on February 18th from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm and the event is Free to the public.
