Classic Opera to be Performed in Alameda

Island City Opera will perform Lucia, starting Wednesday.

Island City Opera is Alameda’s own opera company in its inaugural year, but a history with Virago theatre.

Expert singers from SF Opera and Opera San Jose will perform, along with five local Alameda youth participating as singers in the chorus or back stage.

Opening Night - Jan 16 pre-opera lecture at 6:30 Elks Lobby - showtime 7:30 Elks Ballroom. 2 Intermissions Tickets $35 for General Admission and $55 for Cafe Table seating with wine and snacks.

First Matinee - Jan 18 pre-opera lecture at 1:00 Elks Lobby - showtime 2:00 Elks Ballroom. 2 Intermissions Tickets $35 for General Admission

Second Friday Night - Jan 23 pre-opera lecture at 6:30 Elks Lobby - showtime 7:30 Elks Ballroom. 2 Intermissions Tickets $35 for General Admission and $55 for Cafe Table seating with wine and snacks.
