Deadline To Register For Alameda Fourth of July Parade Fast Approaches

ALAMEDA, CA — With a 3.3 mile long route, Alameda's 4th of July parade might be the longest in the nation, but those looking to register to be one of the more than 170 entries and 2,500 participants need to hurry if they hope to make the registration deadline.

Registration for the parade that draws over 60,000 spectators from the region closes this week, according to the city of Alameda.

"Entries will NOT be accepted after Sunday, June 11, 2023," the city said on it's 4th of July website.

Parade entries each year include a full spectrum of Bay Area residents, including equestrians, dance troops, floats, antique cars, community groups, transported and marching bands from both the community and local schools and people of all shapes and sizes.

Remember registration is free for Alameda residents and only $50 for Alameda businesses, the city said.
