Doolittle Walk - Follow the path of the Raiders

Alameda History Walk, Lunch, Lecture Saturday April 2, 2016 $20 general public, $10 for members.

SATURDAY APRIL 2, 10 am REGISTRATION. Departure at 11 am. Event end about 2 pm.

HISTORICAL WALK & LUNCH $20

74th Anniversary of the Doolittle Raiders’ secret mission and departure from Alameda to bomb Japan began after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor Dec. 7, 1941. By April 1, 1942, the Raiders left Alameda.

  • 10 am, REGISTRATION and see Doolittle exhibit in museum
  • 11 am caravan departs to the RUNWAYS. Learn about future plans for the Veterans Administration Hospital & Columbarium plus the Least Tern colony. Return down W. Tower to museum.
  • 12 pm (noon) Enjoy Grilled Hamburgers & Hot Dogs for lunch with Presentation and Q&A with historian Marshall Davis in the Crow’s Nest.
  • About 1:30 visit Pier 2. Walk or ride to complete the educational program.

SPECIAL: Members of Naval Air Museum only pay $10 each for lunch.
