Date: Tues. 4/26
Time: 7 pm Meeting; 7:30-8:30 p.m. Program: "Our Digital Kids...Let's Help Them Become Informed Digital Citizens"
Location: AHS Media Center "Pit"
Parking: On-campus lot on Walnut St.; enter Media Center from lot area

Program Details: "Our Digital Kids...Let's Help Them Become Informed Digital Citizens" will offer a wealth of great info to help your kids be safe on the internet, with special emphasis on social networking (i.e. Facebook). Adults & students welcome; appropriate for high school and middle school families.

Growing up with the internet, our kids know how to navigate it but may not understand the implications of their usage.   We cannot protect them by isolating them.  We cannot protect them by “filtering” information.  Wecan educate them as to the importance of using good judgment & making smart decisions.  Our presenters, Karen Roemer (AHS Teacher), Diana Kenney and Pat Slattery (EHS Teachers) will cover online:

  • Physical safety
  • Psychological safety
  • Reputational and legal safety
  • Identity, property and community safety

Hope you can join us!
