Community Banned Books Reading Marathon

In support of the right to freely choose what to read, the Alameda Free Library, with support from the Friends of the Alameda Free Library, is hosting a Community Banned Books Reading Marathon in celebration of Banned Books Week. 

 
Community members of all ages are encouraged to sign up to read out loud at the Library for up to 30 minutes at a time. The Library will have carts of banned and challenged books to choose from. Readers will be at the Main Library during all open hours during the week, at West End Branch on Monday, October 1 from 3-5 pm and at Bay Farm Island Branch on Thursday, October 4 from 11am-2pm.
