Join us on Friday, October 12th, from 6-9pm for our newest gallery reception Icons of Change by 2012 SVdP Artist in Residence Claudia Morales. Claudia's work is a series of assemblage icons depicting pivotal figures in social justice. Her work is part reliquary and part portrait, created from the vast assortment of waste-stream materials available to her at our SVdP East Oakland sorting facility.
The reception will also be the Redux Studios and Gallery One Year Anniversary Celebration. We'll have special food and drink guests, live DJ, plus Open Studios too! As always, the event is free and open to the public.
