ABOUT PRESCOTT CIRCUS THEATRE: Now in its 41st year, the Prescott Circus Theatre (PCT) is a nationally recognized performing arts education program for Oakland youth. PCT offers safe environments that challenge Oakland youth, through circus arts training, to live the core principles of hard work, teamwork, practice, belief in self. Programs promote the skills and self-confidence children need to thrive on stage and in life. Programs consist of free afterschool, weekend and summer programs for over 250 Oakland youth each year. Elementary (1st–5th Grade) students strengthen reading comprehension, writing, and math foundations through direct instruction, discussion, and hands-on learning.
