Join us as we hear the author who sparked the theme for the 2011 Across the Pages: An Alameda Community Reads Program. Novella Carpenter has restaged the American agrarian dream in an abandoned Oakland lot, raising fruits, vegetables, bees and even pigs and goats in a neighborhood know as Ghost Town. Please come early, as seating is limited to the first 100 attendees.
