Sand Castle Contest at Crown Beach

The 46th Annual Sand Castle and Sand Sculpture Contest will be held June 9 at .

It is being co-sponsored this year by the , The East Bay Regional Park District, the Bayview Women's Club and the Alameda Youth Committee.

Registration will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. the day of the event. Viewing and judging of the entries begins at 12 p.m. and awards will be presented at 1 p.m.

This year's categories will be for ages 12 and under, ages 13 and over and family.

Weather caused a cancellation of last year's event.
