
Webster Street Jam Scheduled for September 11 and 12
More than 30,000 people are expected to jam Webster Street for the 9th annual Webster Street Jam from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, and Sunday, Sept. 12 in the heart of historic West Alameda on Webster Street between Central and Lincoln Avenues.
The two-day international food, music, art and wine festival also includes a special performance by Foreverland, the 14-piece Michael Jackson tribute band, Saturday evening.

Previously known as the Peanut Butter Jam, the event was renamed to focus more on Webster Street's future as the heart of a re-invigorated West Alameda as well as on the many historical and cultural strengths of West Alameda. West Alameda Business Association is coordinating the event.
All the arts and crafts on sale will be fromarea artisans and the food will be from local area restaurants reflecting a vast array of international flavors, including Asian, Latin American, European and Middle Eastern specialties. Locally-produced Drake's beer and Alameda-based Rosenblum Cellars, Rock Wall and R&B Cellars wines will be sold at the beverage centers. Alameda's St. George Sprits will be serving "Alameda Coffee" Saturday and Sunday mornings.
