FAAS Pet of the Week: Queso
Queso will steal your heart (and a bite of your dinner) with the cutest beg you've ever seen!
Queso is an 8-year-old chihuahua who knows some tricks! He’ll make you laugh with his gruff little bark and the way he sits up for attention. He’s easy to fall in love with. His eyesight is not what it used to be, so he can be a little fearful and grouchy at times. He needs time to warm up to strangers and we don’t recommend that he be around kids. But he does like cats and other dogs, and he will be your best friend once he gets to know you. We don’t know Queso’s background because he was picked up as a stray, but we do know he deserves the chance to know a loving home. All he really needs is a cozy place to nap and someone who will love him and give him a good rump scratch from time to time. If you think you might be interested in giving Queso a home, please call Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter animal behavior coordinator Ariana Jacobs at 510-337-8565, or email Ariana at infofaas09@gmail.com, or come by the shelter to meet Queso during shelter hours. They are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. We are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Our address is 1590 Fortmann Way, Alameda, CA 94501. Queso looks forward to meeting you!
