In these Camps for children, ages 8 and up, we embrace the exciting world of fashion design. Students will cultivate many fashion related design skills including fashion design, sewing and creative thinking. We will explore numerous avenues of inspiration, through illustration, by making design boards and will delve into the technical world of hands-on garment construction with hand and machine sewing. Each day will begin with a short demonstration and practice of a sewing or design technique, followed by work on the sewing project. We will break for lunch and eat on-site, either in our workspace or on the patio outside. The afternoon will be spent sewing and refining our new designing skills. In the afternoon on Friday we will have a real runway fashion show upstairs in the Rhythmix performance room, complete with music, lighting and catwalk. Let's get started and have some fun!
