fitmob Launches Passport in the East Bay, Giving Unlimited Access to Workouts at the Best Studios
Founded by Lyft investor Raj Kapoor, fitmob empowers East Bay residents to explore the city's best workouts with Passport

San Francisco – (December 12, 2014) – Today fitmob, the company bringing freedom to fitness, is announcing its launch in the San Francisco East Bay area, enabling anyone to begin signing up for workouts around their neighborhood. Founded by Lyft investor Raj Kapoor, fitmob shakes up the legacy fitness model and gives fitness enthusiasts the ability to explore the best workouts the East Bay has to offer for one price.
For only $99 per month, fitmob Passport owners gain unlimited access to various studios, trainers and boutique gyms in the East Bay, including classes at top studios like Hot Spot Yoga Oakland, Body Mechanix and Bayside Pilates. In early 2015, Passport members will also be able to work out at local gyms, including all amenities without needing a membership.
fitmob’s partnerships with local fitness businesses are a win-win. Studios and gyms fill up their classes and gain exposure to fitmob’s growing community, thus generating more revenue for small businesses, while fitmob members get access to the best fitness experiences their city has to offer at an affordable price. Plus, now users don’t need to juggle multiple studio memberships and the hassle that comes with payments for each.

“There are so many great options in the fitness industry, but it is hard to enjoy them all - anytime you sign up for one gym or studio, you miss out on 20 more unless you are willing to shell out hundreds of dollars for multiple memberships” said fitmob CEO Raj Kapoor. “fitmob’s goal is to give people the freedom to get fit the way that works for them. With Passport you can take a spin class one day, yoga the next, and boxing after that all for one flat monthly rate, and all through the fitmob app.”
Unlike other offerings, fitmob hand-selects only the best fitness studios and mobbers rate and review classes so anyone can find the best experience before attending.
