Free Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off Event

old paint disposal, e-waste, hhw clean up, making home less toxic, getting rid of leftover household toxics

The dog days of summer are a great time to clean out the garage or basement and get rid of stuff you don’t need, like old paint, leftover pesticides, electronics and computers. You can bring all of your leftover hazardous products to the free Drop-Off Event at Alameda Point on Sunday, July 19 between 9 am - 1pm.

Just register for a drop off time at: www.stopwaste.org/onedayevent and you’ll receive event details and packing instructions. You can also view the entire list of acceptable materials. The event is free for all Alameda County homeowners and renters. There are dedicated drop off times and a separate process for business owners.

This event is sponsored by Alameda County Household Hazardous Waste with support from the city of Alameda Public Works and StopWaste – a public agency whose mission is to reduce waste in Alameda County.
