Free Shelter Pet Adoptions Through Dec. 31
Give a new best friend a Home for the Holidays!
Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) is offering free cat adoptions through Dec. 31. Many of the dogs in the shelter, including puppies, also have their adoption fees either waived or 50% off.
Sarah is one of two dozen dogs currently available. She is a two-year-old part Labrador retriever, part pit bull who loves people and going on hikes. She's great with kids of all ages. Brock is handsome two-year German shepherd mix who also loves people. Roscoe McFly is an adorable Tibetan terrier mix whose funny face and endless energy will keep you smiling. FAAS still has many kittens looking for their furever homes, including Pecan, a six-month boy with beautiful black and white markings.
The shelter will be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Saturday, Dec. 22 and 24. It will be closed Friday, Dec. 23, due to work on the roof, and on Sunday, Christmas Day. It will follow the same schedule New Year's week week, reopening at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28.
