Friday Night Flights at Angela's Supports the Alameda Education Foundation
Local wine tasting event helps raise funds for local charity.

Join the Alameda Education Foundation and Angela's Bistro this Friday, Feb. 22, for Friday Night Flights from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. For a $10 donation, enjoy two flights of wine from a local vintner. One hundred percent of the donation will go to support the Alameda Education Foundation.
The mission of the non-profit Alameda Education Foundation (AEF), which was established in 1982, is to engage the community, raise funds and coordinate programs to support and enhance the quality of K-12 public education in Alameda. Key AEF programs include Adopt A Classroom, which provides $500 grants to teachers; Enrichment, which serves approximately 4500 students per year with after school classes, non-student day camps and summer camps; and Middle School Sports.
AEF is also a collaborating partner on Equipped 4 Success, a community-wide school supply drive. AEF programs serve over 10,000 K-12 Alameda public school students. More information on the Foundation may be found on its website.

Angela's Chef Saboor Zafari started Friday Night Flights over five years ago to bring awareness and donations to local charities. Over the years it has grown to a wonderful weekly event that is co-sponsored by great local wineries.
