Grand Circus Rounds

Grand Circus Rounds will be a unique evening for audience members who will be treated to extraordinary acrobatic feats and amazing clown performances on the center stage, accompanied by a live band led by the incomparable Johannes Mager. The audience will also experience therapeutic medical clowning - the more intimate and individualized ways in which our Medical Clowns work with patients, family members and the medical team on their “rounds” at our partner health care facilities.

Many of the team members behind the Medical Clown Project are based in Alameda, making Grand Circus Rounds a Bay Area community event.

The Medical Clown Project is a non-profit organization that provides therapeutic medical clowning as an integrated component of care for adult and pediatric patients and their families. Currently, we work with care teams at Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center, On Lok Lifeways Centers and California Pacific Medical Center. In 2014, we provided therapeutic medical clowning to over 7,000 patients, 850 family members and 1,400 members of the medical team.
