Hardworking Family Man Needs Boost

Aurelio Gomez plans to start his own business but needs a bit of help to reach his goal.

ALAMEDA, CA — A fundraiser is underway in Alameda to help a hard working family man start his own business.

It was started by Chef John Thiel of Pappo Restaurant. He writes, "Aurelio Gomez has been part of the Pappo family for over 10 years. I can't recall him missing a day of work during that time. Aurelio was planning on returning home with his family in July of this year to start a business of his own. Unfortunately, last week Aurelio became ill and can longer work."

Thiel started the fund to raise $5,000 so Gomez can purchase a truck and transport the supplies and products for his business.
