Haunted Alameda Rocks the Island

The 2014 Alameda-Haunt Your House! Boo Crew want to congratulate all our participants in this year’s wonderful event. Thanks to all the locals and folks who came from far and wide to see all our spooky entries. Thanks to all of you, the contest brought in 2,315.5 pounds of goods to donate to the Alameda Food Bank. With your overwhelming support, we doubled are donation amount from last year! Bravo!

Winner of the coveted Most Canned Goods Collected award goes to contestant, Ain’t Life A Witch? Talie and Lois rallied their co-workers and friends with amazing results - a whopping 1,112.5 pounds. Congratulations!

We appreciate everyone’s participation – from the haunters to the judges to the Halloween enthusiasts who come out to play. It was a fun, friendly event and so inspiring to see what can happen when a community comes together for a good cause.
