Heartbreaker: SJND Loses State Championship Game by 1 Point
A 3-point shot at the buzzer gives the game to Horizon Christian HS 47-46.

The St. Joseph Notre Dame High School boys basketball team lost their Division V state championship match this afternoon at the buzzer, as a player from opponent Horizon Christian HS made a 3-point shot in the game's final seconds. The score was 47-46, with SJND leading most of the game.
The match was played at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento.
The local team previously won the state championship in 1991, 1992, 2004 and 2011. They defeated Capital Christian High School 50-36 last week to qualify for this year's championship round.
