High Street Bridge Closure Hours Extended

The High Street Bridge closure hours will be extended to 8:30 p.m. beginning November 19, 2015 to enable timely completion of bridge repairs, according to the Alameda County Public Works Agency.

The High Street Bridge spans the Oakland Estuary between Oakland and Alameda. It will now be closed to all vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., through November 25, 2015.

This schedule is subject to change. More information is available on the High Street and Park Street Bridge Rehabilitation Project on the Public Works Agency website.

There will also be some limitations to marine traffic. The US Coast Guard will communicate this information in its weekly “Coast Guard Local Notices to Mariners.”
