Highway 84 Blocked By Mudslide

ALAMEDA, CA — A mudslide amid Friday's wet weather has left state Highway 84 in Alameda County blocked for hours, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The highway also known as Niles Canyon Road that connects Fremont to the Sunol area was reported blocked in both directions around 11:20 a.m. at Palomares Road and remained blocked as of 3 p.m.
There was no estimate yet from the CHP for when the roadway will reopen.
