SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The 4th Street off-ramp at eastbound Interstate Highway 80 in San Francisco reopened late Saturday after construction finished ahead of schedule, Caltrans said.

The off-ramp was closed late Friday for installation of a three-foot deep deck replacement and bridge joint, according to Caltrans. Work had been expected to take until Monday morning.

The off-ramp work is part of a broader two-year project to rehabilitate the Central/Bayshore freeway viaducts which began in January, Caltrans said.
