The JAM at Neptune Beach is This Weekend

Alameda is the place to be this Father’s Day weekend, with The JAM at Neptune Beach.

Alameda’s premier family fun event, has been moved to June 20 and 21 for 2015, marking a new Father’s Day tradition of fun for the whole family.

Dad’s Day takes center stage along Alameda’s historic Webster Street with six full blocks of carnival rides, new artists, food trucks and live music on two stages.

“The JAM is back”, said Michael McDonough, president of the Alameda Chamber of Commerce. “We are creating a carnival atmosphere with attractions designed to give Dad’s Day a new twist. Forget neck ties for Father’s Day! Give Dad what he really wants…Fun for the Whole Family.”

New to the JAM will be the Zippin’ Zip Line that will run from Pacific to Buena Vista. This is just one of the new attractions brought in to give Dad’s a day full of excitement and adventure. New Boardwalk Games, Giant Slide, Ferris wheel and more promise to make this a Father’s Day event you’ll never forget.

Local libations from Faction Brewing, Rock Wall Wine Company and Alameda Point Craft Soda will be the perfect compliment to the new Food Truck Pavilion. Live music from Alameda Battle of the Bands winners, Soulstice and Bob Claire Orchestra, will be the icing on the cake of two full days of entertainment on two stages.

“Our plan is to produce a West End spectacle like no other”, said Mark Sorensen, the Chamber’s Executive Director. “We’ve changed the date and upgraded the attractions to make Alameda a Father’s Day destination for fair lovers across the entire Bay Area.”
