Alameda is the place to be for the 4th of July! There's the famous parade, great parties, and even the occasional fireworks (although they are illegal in Alameda County). We all love Independence Day festivities, but our pets don't.
Please keep all pets inside all day and evening on July 4th and find them a nice, safe, secure, spot so they can't escape.
Family and friends may want to spend time with your pets, and that is great. However, let them have their love-time in the secure haven.

Persuade them to avoid feeding barbecue, French fries, chocolate, and other foods that we find yummy but cause serious digestive issues for your pets.
Make sure your pets have some identification on them in case they do escape. A microchip is best because they can't lose it, but a collar with their license and ID tag is also a good choice.
