KIWANIS CLUB OF ALAMEDA HONORS ALAMEDA POLICE DEPARTMENT
POLICE CHIEF PAUL ROLLERI ACCEPTS PROCLAMATION HONORING APD FROM MAYOR HERRERA-SPENCER

Mayor Herrera-Spencer recently joined the Kiwanis Club of Alameda to recognize the Alameda Police Department for serving the community with excellence and to protect and serve the city of Alameda. Mayor Herrera-Spencer presented a proclamation in honor of the APD to Police Chief Paul Rolleri. Twenty representatives from the Alameda Police Department and the Alameda Fire Department joined Mayor Spencer at the luncheon. Chief Rolleri gave the key note address. He discussed upcoming retirements, hiring and the recent purchase and use of body cameras and other topics.
Those attending the meeting were Chief Paul Rolleri, Captain Lance Leibnitz, Captain Joe McNiff, Lieutenant Jill Ottaviano, Sgt Rick Bradley, Sgt Wayland Gee, Detective Alex Keden, Detective Alan Kuboyama, Joe Castaneda, Craig Rodrigue, Sgt Mark Abreu,Officer Frank Petersen, Rita Dharmani, Barbara, Leahy, Florence Lopez, Karen Watson Mark Sample, Scott Prott, and Maricela Watt.
Kiwanis meet at noon each Wednesday with the first Wednesday of each month being an evening meeting at 6:30 PM for dinner. Guests are welcome. Meetings are held at the Elks Lodge, 2255 Santa Clara Avenue, Alameda. Kiwanis is an organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child at a time.
