Lifeline For Furloughed Families: Free School Lunches

Just apply online with your current income status. Your kids can start getting free breakfasts and lunches immediately.

ALAMEDA, CA — As the partial government shutdown drags on, Coast Guard families and other furloughed workers are going without paychecks. To help make ends meet, Alameda Unified School District is encouraging families to apply for free or reduced breakfasts and lunches.

You can apply ONLINE and your child or children can receive meals immediately. If you need more information, contact your local school or read details online.

When the furlough ends, simply change the monetary information on the website.
