ALAMEDA, CA — Patch featured a photo on Monday of male mallard ducks in the Estuary and mentioned that spring is breeding season. Steve Gorman came through with a photo taken at the pond in Alameda of a mother mallard duck with her young. "These ducklings are probably just a few days old and are barely a few inches long," Gorman said in an email.
