New Rates for Charging Electric Vehicles at 2000 Grand Street in Alameda

Alameda, CA— Beginning on July 1, Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) will change the rate to charge electric vehicles (EV) at its front parking lot on 2000 Grand Street.

The current flat rate for charging will be replaced by a new rate of $0.45 per kWh. The change responds to customer feedback that a per-kWh charge would encourage use of the chargers by smaller EVs and those which don't need a full charge.
