Nonstop Flights From Oakland To Copenhagen Begin

Nonstop service is now offered to all three Scandinavian capitals.

OAKLAND, CA — Non-stop service from Oakland International Airport to Copenhagen, Denmark, began Tuesday, completing a "Triple Crown" of service to the three Scandinavian capitals including Stockholm in Sweden and Oslo in Norway, airport officials said Wednesday.

The flights to Copenhagen, which are on Boeing 787 Dreamliners, depart at 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and 6:15 p.m. on Saturdays. Flights from Copenhagen arrive at 6 p.m. on Tuesdays and at 4:15 p.m. on Saturdays.

Non-stop service from the Bay Area to the three Scandinavian capitals can only be found at Oakland International Airport, airport officials said.

Norwegian Air operates the flights to Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm.

Norwegian Air will begin service to Barcelona, Spain, from Oakland International Airport on June 7. Last May, the airline started offering service from Oakland International Airport to London's Gatwick Airport.
