Paramedics Plus employee receives statewide award

California Ambulance Association honors Christina Faust with the 2016 Stars of Life award

San Leandro, California (April 29, 2016) – Paramedics Plus team member Christina Faust received the California Ambulance Association’s 2016 Stars of Life award, which recognizes paramedics and emergency medical technicians for lifesaving actions or exceptional professional achievement. Faust was among the nearly 50 emergency medical service professionals who were recognized during the statewide Stars of Life ceremony on March 7-8 in Sacramento.

“Christina’s positive attitude and compassion drive her to continually excel in the role of paramedic,” said Dale Fieldhauser, chief operating officer of Paramedics Plus. “She positively impacts our service to the residents of Alamada County, and we’re proud to have her as a member of the Paramedics Plus team.”

Faust decided to pursue a career in emergency medical service after seeing a home care nurse save her grandmother with the Heimlich maneuver. The experience inspired her to change career paths, and she became an EMT, then a paramedic.
