Ready Made Meals from the Food Shift Alameda Kitchen

Food Shift, an Alameda based social enterprise, will be selling ready-made meals made in the Food Shift Kitchen right here in Alameda.

These meals are made by an executive chef alongside Alameda Point Collaborative residents in a culinary apprenticeship that uses only recovered food. Food Shift is an amazing organization that's looking to shift the way we use and think about food, and lessening the food waste we create, as well as providing skills training to disadvantaged community members. It's a win-win-win!

Our chef hails from Louisiana, so the first batch of meals for sale are Cajun inspired comfort food. We'll also have frozen soups and sauces for sale to defrost and use throughout the summer for a quick and easy meal.

Order in advance via https://www.josephine.com/meal... and pick up on Thursday, July 27 at the Food Shift Kitchen on the old naval base.
