Alameda resident, Jane Griswold, MSW, and business partner, Gail Coufal, MA, are pleased to announce the launch of their company, Sojourn Legacies. “Our goal is to provide engaging, affordable and personalized Legacy Journey services. We can help you get to the heart of what has mattered most in your life,” Coufal said. Griswold and Coufal are certified Legacy Navigators™ who are passionate about their work. Through individual coaching and workshops, they assist clients with the creation of a treasured personalized document called a Legacy Letter, also known as an Ethical Will, which communicates one’s values, beliefs, life lessons, hopes and more. “Our experience has taught us that the process of developing a Legacy Letter is emotionally satisfying for anyone who does it. Our clients experience peace of mind in knowing their own words are preserved. And, by design, these powerful communications also strengthen intergenerational connections which research tells us strengthens families and communities,” reports Griswold. Coufal and Griswold also assist in document preservation, ensuring Legacy Letters endure through time. Sojourn Legacies welcomes those for whom writing English is challenging. “We will help anyone put the voice of his or her heart into writing a Legacy Letter,” says Griswold. Gift Certificates are available. Collaborations with Estate Attorneys and Financial Planners are also welcomed. Coufal and Griswold will provide a free Introduction to Ethical Wills session on Tuesday, June 25th, 7-8pm at the Alameda County Law Library, 125 12th St. Rm. 3, Oakland, CA 94607.
